On November 30, Vietnam Airlines collaborated with Ben Dam Port Management Board, Vietnam Coast Guard 33, and Residential Area No. 10 of Con Dao District to conduct training sessions aimed at increasing awareness of plastic waste sorting among locals. This program is part of the “Green Con Dao Day” activities
In this initiative, the program raised awareness about sorting, collecting, and recycling plastic waste in Con Dao, guiding residents on the proper use of plastic and practicing waste sorting at source. The community also takes part in mini-games centered around waste sorting.

As part of the series of activities for this “Green Con Dao Day” event, residents brought sorted plastic waste to exchange for recycled prizes such as greenery and plant pots. The collected plastic waste will be transported to Ho Chi Minh City for processing, recycling into useful products like furniture, which will then be donated back to the Con Dao community. During the event on November 30, over 170 kg of recyclable plastic waste, cans, and milk boxes were collected by the organizers.
