On the afternoon of February 19, 2024 (January 10), the Con Dao District Women's Union coordinated with the Con Dao Labor Federation to organize a cuisine contest to celebrate the Vietnam Communist Party and the 2024 Lunar Year on Ton Duc Thang Street, in front of the Island Lord's House relic. Participating in the contest were leaders of District party committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee along with more than 40 competing teams; a large number of officials, soldiers, people from all walks of life in Con Dao district and tourists.
