Con Dao responds to the World Environment Day 2017

A large number of soldiers, officials, members of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, people and students participated in the rally

On the morning of June 5, 2017, there were more than 300 officials, leaders, soldiers, armed forces, residential areas and pupils participated in the rally responding of the World Environment Day. The rally had the theme "Connecting People to Nature " and launched by District People's Committee. This meeting was held to respond to activities such as "Month of Action for the Environment", the World Environment Day (05/6), Viet Nam Sea and Island Week (01-08 / 6), World Ocean Day (08/6) in Con Dao district.

With the aim of promoting propaganda, mobilizing and educating officials and people to raise their awareness on environmental protection, management and protection of the sea and islands, protecting biodiversity and sustainable development, coping with climate change, economically use natural resources; Encouraging the community to connect organically to nature, thereby they can feel its beauty and importance to life. At the same time, sharing, following up the call to defend the Earth, protecting the harmony between human and nature in the constructing and socio-economic development of the locality.

After the rally, the parade marched on the main streets of Con Dao with the banner "Warmly respond to the World Environment Day" to call for and encourage community, agencies, departments members of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to carry out protecting environment and protecting the Earth, protecting the harmonious and sustainability relationship of human and nature right now by practical actions in production and consumption as it is the best way to secure our future and future generations.

At tourist resorts, hotels, tourist beaches in the district also respond and organize the cleaning of environmental sanitation, collection and treatment of waste. People actively respond and implement environmental sanitation in the residential area, collect and wipe out water tanks, destroy larvae to prevent dengue fever in the rainy season.

These activities aim to raise awareness and action for tourism sustainable development in the cause of socio-economic development, at the same time to conserve and sustainable use of biodiversity. These activities are also contribute to change the landscape, tourism environment of Con Dao district.
